Looking for something more adventurous? Try SUP Yoga (Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga), where you can connect with the water and find balance on the serene waters of the North Yorkshire coast. Perfect for all levels, SUP Yoga combines yoga and paddleboarding for a unique and calming experience that strengthens your body and improves your focus.
Indoor Yoga – All Year Round
We’re not just about outdoor adventures – we also offer indoor yoga classes throughout the year. Whether it’s winter or summer, our indoor sessions are a perfect way to stay grounded, calm, and energized. Our friendly, welcoming community ensures that every class is a fun, supportive experience where you can relax and unwind, no matter the weather.
As well as being a yoga teacher, Happy Seal Yoga founder and lead teacher Helen is a bit of a thalassophile (lover of the sea) with a wealth of experience in the sea. She has been a qualified beach lifeguard for over 30 years, a lifeguard trainer/assessor for over ten years and is also a SUP instructor, open water swim coach & surf coach.

A very special yoga session on the beach at Sandsend. Helen expertly led a magical, early-morning class. The weather happened to be perfect - and even a seal swam along the shoreline. What could be nicer - yoga on warm sand to the sound of gently breaking waves.

My partner and I were in the area close to Scarborough for the weekend, and so I booked Helen's class by the sea. We both loved the experience. Helen's voice and presence is so calming and instructions so clear! The session itself wonderful, and all topped off by the sea mist, sun burning through, and gorgeous setting. I would highly recommend these classes and wish we lived closer!

The practice space is a welcoming, quiet, safe space. Helen is a wonderful, vibrant teacher. She made me feel immediately at ease and a part of the group. The class was perfect for me, a continuous flow of movement with instructions to modify as needed. I arrived at the class in need of calm, I left feeling at peace.

I LOVE yoga outside, connecting to myself, to nature, to the moment. It’s just pure bliss. So I am delighted to have found Helen’s classes by the sea. Each time I have been has just been a wonderful chance to drop in to the experience of being fully alive by the sea. And I’ve just enjoyed the loveliest retreat day with Helen and Verity at the gorgeous Coast and Camplight. Such a beautiful day of movement, of breath, of stillness, of joy, of wonder and awe, surrounded by and embracing nature. With SO much amazingly delicious food too! I am feeling deeply contented. Helen’s offerings really boost my seaside escapes.
